Packaging Design / Art Direction
Alexandra Valenti is a renowned artist and photographer residing in Austin, Texas. She has work in displayed in private collections in Austin, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, Nashville, Miami, and New Orleans. Along with appearing in various decor and design magazines, she also has prints of her work hanging in 148 rooms at the new Line Hotel in Austin, Texas. Alexandra's work evokes both a sense of connectivity to the natural world and one of nostalgic reverence for monumental constructions found in ancient cityscapes. For her newest venture, she took the majestic imagery from her photography along with familiar and abstract shapes from her prints to create her own Italian handmade silk scarves. We were asked to help with the launch of her scarves by designing her logo, the boxes, tissue paper and stickers. We drew inspiration for the box and internal elements from the natural spaces reflected in Alexandra's work and her connectivity to Italian brand identities.
